Goodbye Brunette. Hello Redhead.

December 23, 2008

It is perfectly acceptable to be a cynic.

It is also perfectly fine to be a dreamer.

So it is a perfect paradox to be a cynical dreamer.

And I WILL kill your fucking dog for fun so DON’T push me. (Badass Natalie Portman = Goddess)

THE BIG BANG THEORY IS SUCH A BRILLIANT TV SERIES!!

“Rock paper scissors lizard Spock!”

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

PWC had an outing to watch Twatlight last Friday. And let me just tell you, all of the hype surrounding Twilight is LIGHT YEARS (Okay I know ‘light years’ are not used to measure distance BUT just pretend it is) from justifying the movie itself.
Twilight was a great comedy with so much cheese added, that its nauseating.

So many of the scenes were unintentionally funny (Which makes me regret watching HSM 3).

As Farhana mentioned on her blog, the scene where James’ and Cullens’ coven confront each other its hilarious.  Its like watching two groups of anorexic models striking an artisitc attack pose for the battle of the last cheese cracker.

The script/dialogue was poorly written and the cinematography is terrible. SO MANY CLOSEUPS!!! And some of them WERE SHAKY! Oi director! THERE IS A SPECIFIC EQUIPMENT TO PREVENT SHAKINESS AND ITS CALLED A STAND? (Okay I’m not entirely sure if its called a stand to the filming crew but I call it a stand since I don’t know its professional name. You know what I’m getting at, right?)

AND HELLO? Are you trying to distract us from the shitty dialogue with your closeups to the ‘eye candy’? (urgh, Pattinson is supposedly dreamy to many Twalighters but I do agree he looked pretty good in the suit) THERE WAS NO POINT TO PROVE WITH THE CLOSE UPS! Its not like the actors have impressive facial expressions that could speak words !

OH and don’t get me started on Kristin Stewart. HAVE YOU SEEN A MORE PERMANENT BITCH FACE THAN HERS? Its like her pretty face (such a waste, sigh) is eternally frozen in that facial expression and any attempt at any other facial expressions other than skunk face proves HIGHLY difficult. I thought Pattinson did an okay performance, he tried his best with the crappy cheese laden dialogue.

And there were SUCH awkward scenes in the movie it was painful to watch. Oh the agony of awkward acting. The part where Belinda hugs Bella after Belinda declares Eric is taking her to the prom? HORRIFYING. And when Bella gets her truck? HUH. How pretentious can her “OHMYGAWD” be?

But I did like the baseball scene, that was probably the most interesting thing to happen in the movie. Along with Meena’s unexpected gasping hahaha! And Hajar’s pseudo barfing too! And Farhana’s fangirling! And Eunice’s comment that I was laughing at the movie, not laughing with it.

Anyway, bottom line is Twatlight could not live up to its hype unlike The Dark Knight. TOO much hype TOO little substance! And I am REALLY SHOCKED to read in the papers that there are Twifailers who can actually  watch this movie adaption 16 fucking times! WHAT THE FUCK??? I couldn’t even sit through one screening of the movie without having to want to smack my forehead any less than 16 times. If I could have a dollar for every time I wanted to smack my forehead against my palm, I would be filthy rich.

AND THANK YOU PWC FOR YOUR OH SO LOVELY SCRAP BOOK!!!! It is seriously full of WIN.

And Eunice is a bad liar hahahaha

    Anyway, I love your review!
Ya lah wtfucking fuck are those moronic girls doing watching it up till 16X???
I WISH I HAD WATCHED THE DARK KNIGHT IN THE CINEMA UP TILL 16x!!! AND TO INFINITY AND BEYONDDD.
Heck, can get me married while entertaining the guests with The Dark Knight too. Anything.
Anyway, I might have a chance to do that since it will be re-released next year, according to news reports.

Is that awesome or is that mindblowing?

    I was not fangirling.
    Dammit!

LOL, Farhana, admit it, you were fangirling like mad. YOU’RE BESOTTED WITH EDWARD CULLEN. :)

The close-ups is actually a technique in cinematography, but yeah it was quite excessive and unneeded.

Btw, is there something with the brunette/redhead thing? I saw the same thing on another person’s blog and but it’s about being a brunette. Like the opposite of yours. Hahaha.
